There was a
regular meeting of the Cable Advisory Council called to order at 7:00 p.m.,
Tuesday, September 12, 2011 by Chairman Jim Lang at the Charter Communications facility,
Newtown, Connecticut.
ATTENDEES: John Bell (Kent), Carl Braun (Woodbury), Gregory Davis (Roxbury), Ray Juskiewicz (New Fairfield), Paul Katzmark (Southbury), Jim Lang (Trumbull), Stephanie O’Rourke (Kent), and Eugene Rosen (Newtown),
From Charter: Tim Noonan (Operations), Greg Van Antwerp (Public Access), and Heidi Vandenbrouch (Public Relations)

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The August minutes had a wrong date in the footer information. Motion to approve minutes as corrected by Ray Juskiewicz and second by Greg Davis of August 2011 meeting passed 7 in favor, 0 opposed, 0 abstained.
Treasurer Carl Braun reported that Checking account balance remains at $3,356,68 with no activity. Money Market balance is $6,164,96 with only transaction being $1.96 in interest. 12-month CD balance is $13,396.77. Total assets $22,908.41. Motion to approve Treasurer’s report by Greg Davis, seconded by Paul Katzmark passed 7 in favor, 0 opposed, 0 abstained.
CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS
REPORT.
Tim
Noonan:

Recent
Hurricane put a strain of Charter Operations staff but recovery work is
essentially complete. Tim believes his team did an good job and reported that
as of the meeting date no subscriber is without service due to the hurricane.

Tim
committed to relocate a power supply on Kent Hollow Road. John Bell reported that this project has
been promised since November 2010.

Several
technical problems were reported to Tim Noonan who promised to promptly look
into each
·
Paul
Katzmark requested that Charter provide a free web site for The Village in
Southbury. Tim Noonan said he would review company policy and Charter’s
contract with The Village..

Carl
Braun asked about audio/video sync problems. He will follow-up with Tim about
specific channels, dates, and times when this occurs.
Greg Van Antwerp

Announced
that Charter is collaborating with Western State in Danbury to present Election
returns
·
Distributed
copies of his Public Access Report, July 12, 2011- September 12, 2011. Tthere
were 59 edit sessions for a total of 167 ours. The studio was signed out 13
times for a total of 39 hours. There were 20 equipment loans. In all 46 new
shows were produced. 18 training classes were held with 60 participants.
